HWG Staff

The caregivers in our infants, tots, and toddlers program are experienced working with children ages from birth through two years old. Many have obtained their CDA, an Associates in Early Childhood, have children of their own, and have some experience in the medical field.
Our preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten classrooms are certified school teachers, have either an AA, BA or MA in education, or many years of experience. They focus each day on strengthening their student’s talents using a balance of academics, socialization with peers, imagination during play, and building self confidence. The teachers take anecdotal notes to ensure that their student’s progress is being monitored and modifying lessons to meet each child’s needs.
We hold many functions throughout the year allowing many opportunities for you to keep an open relationship with your child’s teacher/caregiver. We hold parent teacher conferences each winter to have a mid year “check in” with the family to formally discuss each child in detail. Progress reports are completed twice a year outlining each students’ strengths. At any time parents can set up a meeting with their child’s teacher during the year if requested.
